The Big Purple Tree is rocking in the new year in style. Many corporate resolutions have been made and we will work on implementing the changes associated with these very early this year. We have already started with the make-over of this site:switching from a web 1.o format to an interactive blog (we love wordpress!). We are also in the process of implementing our new corporate identity.
The Logo:

It all started with a logo. The design may be simple, but it speaks volumes about what The Big Purple Tree stands for:classic necessities blended with a modern creative twist (if you haven’t heard of Helvetica, google it!).
The Big Purple Tree synthesizes vintage visual media services with cutting edge applications and technology.
In other words,we have studied such classic film techniques as those created by Alfred Hitchcock for Vertigo (dolly zoom) and Gregg Toland for Citizen Cane (depth of field manipulation) among others, and incorporate them into the video services that reflect our client’s needs and then get them out to the public using a variety of innovative avenues.
Our graphic design services apply this same technique of classic necessities with a modern twist;we create a work of art that reflects current artistic trends blended with a classic look that will keep the image fresh as trends change. Our new logo is a great example of this classic/modern blend in action.
The Avatar:

We have added to our corporate collateral an avatar:the purple leaf. I will give you the full run-down on the importance of an icon or avatar at a later date, until then, watch for leaves through out our work. It is the little piece of the original tree that will stick around.
The Rest:
Below is the rest of the identity. The black on white gives a clean slate for the green and purple to pop on.

We are so excited for this change! And this is just the beginning;watch for more changes and growth as the year progresses.
